Party chief meets with Hanoi voters
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met with voters in the districts of Ba Dinh and Tay Ho, Hanoi yesterday in the run up to the third session of the 14th National Assembly (NA).

During the meeting, voters in Ba Dinh and Tay Ho expressed their agreement with the contents related to scheduled agenda of the upcoming session of the 14th NA.
Voters provided feedback on a number of issues, including socio-economic development, land management, agricultural development, rural areas, and making improvements to the living conditions of farmers throughout the country.
They also expressed satisfaction at the effective leadership of the Party and the direction and administration of the Government in recent years, especially in resolving and handling negative cases, which helped gain the trust of the people.
More drastic measures are needed to repel corruption and wastefulness, voters said, noting that efforts should be strengthened to improve the quality of inspectors at all levels, aiming to create a breakthrough in anti-corruption.
Acknowledging voters’ opinions, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong thanked constituents for their practical ideas and recommendations, saying that their ideas and suggestions will help NA deputies do their duties better.
The Party chief agreed with the voters’ opinions on the need to reform law-making work in the direction of improving quality and ensuring the implementation of laws, to raise the efficiency of supreme supervision of the National Assembly, particularly overseeing the enforcement of laws and urgent socio-economic issues.
