Vice President salutes revolutionary contributors from Thua – Thien Hue

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on May 26 to welcome a delegation of revolutionary contributors from Thua Thien – Hue province, who are on a visit to the capital city to pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh.

At the reception, the State official expressed her gratitude to Vietnam’s heroic mothers, war veterans andfamilies of war martyrs, from Thua Thien – Hue province, who have made significant contributions to the national revolution.

She reiterated that the Party and State will always remember the dedication and great sacrifices of those who contributed to the revolutionary cause during the country’s struggles in safeguarding it’s independence, national sovereignty and territorial integration.

She noted with pleasure that a number of policies on providing preferential treatment, for those who contributed to the revolution, have been promulgated and implemented nationwide.

She also applauded the Thua Thien – Hue provincial authorities for their efforts and achievements in caring for and improving the livelihoods of Vietnam’s heroic mothers, war veterans and national contributors within their locality.

She expressed her hope that the revolutionary contributors would continue serving as shining examples of the country’s finest traditions, providing role models for younger generations to emulate, while making further contributions to national development.

According to the Thua Thien – Hue provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the province is now home to approximately 100,000 national revolutionary contributors, including 19,400 martyrs, 1,833 Vietnamese heroic mothers and 13,000 war veterans, among others.

The provincial authorities have rallied efforts and mobilised all available resources to care for the revolutionary contributors and keep them updated on the Party and State’s guidelines and policies targeting national contributors.
