Socio-economic of Tien Giang province positively changes

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong has just chaired the meeting of the PPC to evaluate the result of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of 2017 and the direction task of the last 6 months.

According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, the socio-economic situation of the province continued to see positive changes. The economic growth rose quite high over the same period, with 9.56%. Of which, there were some areas of strong growth over the same period including industrial production (increased 20.8%), exports (increased 10.9%), commerce, tourist attraction, newly established businesses, credit growth, etc... The socio-cultural fields have many positive changes. The defence and security were maintained.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong directed the departments and branches as members of the PPC to concentrate on directing and managing efforts to overcome limitations and difficulties and strive to achieve targets and norms of socio-economic development in 2017.

In particular, to focus on solving difficulties, problems and solve specific tasks related to agricultural production; food safety and hygenic; to promote the coverage of universal health insurance; to strengthen the erosion prevention; to speed up the progress of new rural construction as planned; to organize the preliminary review of equitization of enterprises; to promote reform of administrative procedures, support enterprises, improve the business investment environment, improve competitiveness with the determination to set up the investment contact group, etc ...
