Tien Giang People's Council concludes 4th session

After four days working in a spirit of urgency, democracy and full responsibility, the 4th session of Tien Giang People's Council (term IX) has  completed successfully on July 14.

At this meeting, the deputies of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council voted and adopted 31 resolutions unanimously in various fields as a basis for the Provincial People's Committee and other departments to organize the implementation.

The deputies of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council have voted to dismiss and directly vote for the Provincial People's Committees for the 2016-2021 term. Accordingly, members of the Provincial People's Committee for 2016-2021 term were are dismissed including former Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Minh, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs Doan Thanh Liem, former Director Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Thanh Can. All were retired according to the regime.

According to additional election result, Director of Department of Home Affairs Vo Tan Hien and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Duc Dam were elected member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

Speaking at the closing, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Danh highly appreciated the spirit of serious work and responsibilities of the delegates in recent days. Leaders of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committees, heads of departments and agencies, have raised the sense of responsibility, clarified the issues raised by delegates and constituencies, setting the best solutions and measures to address the requirements of the province. Many pressing issues interested by voters have been analyzed and clarified. At the same time, the Tien Giang Provincial People's Council also dismissed and elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee, contributing additional personnel important and necessary for the provincial government.

He also suggested that in the coming time, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee should actively review and direct the institutionalization of the resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council; to direct deparments, industries to remove difficulties as well as effectively solve the "promises" before the deputies of the People's Council and voters. To continuing to build the political system at all levels to be more and more clean and strong, successfully implement the targets and tasks of socio-economic development in 2017 of the province, to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 10th Provincial Party Congress.
