My Tho city celebrates its 50th anniversary founding of the city (August 24, 1967-2017)

On the morning of August 24, the My Tho city Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee solemnly celebrated its 50th anniversary founding of the city (August 24,1967 - 2017) and announced the decision to recognize My Tho city as urban civilization standards for the 2016-2017 period.

This event saw the presence of Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh as Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Vo Van Binh as Head of the Tien Giang provincial National Assembly delegation, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai and a large number of officers, soldiers, civil servants of My Tho city, etc...

On behalf of the My Tho city’s leaders, Chairman of the My Tho city People's Committee Nguyen Van Hong reported the summary of the achievements of the My Tho city attained in the last 50 years. Promoting the position, taking full of advantage of available potentials, the Party, authority and people of the city have concentrated all resources for urban development and urban development orientation to aim at building My Tho city as the socio-economic centre of the province, etc… At the same time, he also pointed out a number of development orientations for the My Tho city in the future.
