Lawmakers deliberate socio-economic, personnel issues

They also scrutinised the socio-economic development plan, State budget estimate and allocation for 2018 and the State finance-budget plan for 2018-2020.
In the afternoon, Phan Xuan Dung, member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, presented a report on adjustments to the revised Law on Forest Protection and Development based on collected opinions.
The deputies then gave opinions to contentious contents of the bill, focusing on the renaming of the document to the Law on Forestry, forest lease, rights and obligations of forest owners, forestry development policy, forestry product processing and trading, State management on forestry and responsibility of forest rangers.
At the working session, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented a proposal on relieving Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia and Government Inspector General Phan Van Sau of their duties for the 2016-2021 tenure.
After hearing the proposal, the lawmakers worked in groups to debate the dismissal of the posts.
They are scheduled to examine the draft Planning Law on October 25 morning. In the afternoon, they will make personnel decisions and hear proposals and reports on the draft Law on Protection of State Secret and the draft Law on Cyber Security, and continue to work on personnel matters.
