With almost all “yes” votes, the legislature approved a Resolution ratifying the Prime Minister’s proposal on the appointments.
Congratulating the two new Government members, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed her hope that they would strive to fulfill their assigned tasks in their new positions.
A day earlier, the legislature relieved Truong Quang Nghia of the post of Transport Minister and Phan Van Sau of the post of Government Inspector General, also using secret ballot, in moves to reshuffle Government personnel.
Nghia is now Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee, while Sau performs The’s former role as Secretary of the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee.
On the afternoon of October 26, the lawmakers discussed as a group a bill on amendments and supplements to the Law on Overseas Representative Missions of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
