Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong inspects the typhoon Tembin prevention

On the afternoon of December 24, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong, Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Tien Giang province inspected the typhoon prevention in Go Cong Dong district and Tan Phu Dong district.

Chairman of the PPC and the delegation inspected reinforcement of the dyke system in Tan Dien commune, Go Cong Dong district and surveyed the crossing and reinforcement of the people's houses in Go Cong sea region. He also visited and grasped information of local people about the mobilization and propaganda of local authorities about the development of the 16th typhoon (typhoon Tembin) as well as the coordination of functional sectors in supporting people on the typhoon prevention.

The delegation surveyed the construction of reinforced concrete piles and float system of Tan Long ferry in Tan Phu Dong district in order to ensure safe and traffic smoothly to serve the needs of transport, as well as evacuate locals to safe places as typhoon Tembin heads towards mainland.

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Tien Giang province, local authorities have taken measures to implement typhoon prevention measures, at the same time mobilize people to concentrate on the typhoon prevention because of this large typhoon.
Chairman of the PPV Le Van Huong also asked the local authorities to continue monitoring the typhoon development and organize 24/24 hours, not to be passive as the typhoon occurs.

* At the same day (December 24), Deputy Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc inspected the typhoon Tembin prevention in Cai Lay town, Cai Lay district, Cai Be district and Tan Phuoc district.
