In a democratic, frank and open spirit, the Tran Yen voters asked the Party, State and NA to increase their support for the building of new-style rural areas in communes in extremely disadvantaged areas, whilst implementing assistance policies towards peculiar products in the locality. The Yen Binh voters proposed that the NA and Government issue preferential policies to support businesses in leasing land for high-tech agricultural production, and to support the funding for the building of resettlement areas for households in areas at high risk of landslides.

The constituents asked the NA and Government to direct the ministries, sectors and localities to strengthen their management over the production, consumption and use of plant protection drugs and fertilisers, whilst increasing the funding for the development of the transportation and irrigation infrastructure in ethnic minority, remote and isolated areas.

Acquiring and replying to the voters’ opinions and proposals, Politburo member Vuong, who is the permanent member of the PCC’s Secretariat, stressed that the NA’s operations have been increasingly renovated in the spirit of democracy and publicity, helping to promote the role and responsibility of the highest representative organ of the people.

He asked the constituents to overcome difficulties and contribute to local poverty reduction, whilst urging Yen Bai province to further tap into the potential of Thac Ba Lake and invest in developing rural infrastructure, associated with building new-style rural areas and improving the people’s standard of living.

* On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met with voters in Dinh Hoa district of northern Thai Nguyen province, after the fourth sitting of the 14th NA.

The Politburo member spent time informing the voters on foreign affairs, especially the APEC Year 2017, which featured over 240 events organised in ten cities and provinces across the country.

* On November 28, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the NA, Tong Thi Phong, had a working session with key provincial leaders, during which she praised the efforts made by Son La province, as well as its socio-economic development achievements over the past few years.

Later in the afternoon, Politburo member Phong and the NA deputy delegation of Son La met with voters in Mai Son district’s Muong Bang commune.

* The NA deputy delegation of Hanoi, led by Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, informed the voters in Long Bien and Dong Anh districts on the major results of the 14th NA’s fourth sitting, and listened to their concerns regarding health insurance profiteering, the fight against corruption, and the regular traffic congestion caused by urban overload, at a meeting on Monday.

* On the same day, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan, met with voters in District 7.

The constituents expressed their delight at the NA approving a resolution on piloting special mechanisms and policies for the development of HCM City, voicing their belief that these mechanisms and policies will enable the city to continue promoting its role as a “locomotive” of the country in terms of economy, science, technology and trade. They also gave their opinions in regards to the issues of child abuse, waste of “golden land” and traffic congestion.
