Discussing a lot of ergent issues

At the 5th session of the 9th Provincial People's Council, the deputies discussed ebulliently a lot of important issues. Particularly, the situation of drug crime, social order and safety has been increasingly complex with increasing number of cases; issue of attracting investment; the quality of education decreased, etc… Many issues were analyzed by the concerned agencies with the spirit of openness, frankness, high responsibility.

At the beginning of the discussion session on December 7, deputy Nguyen Van Phuoc Cuong mentioned many issues related to the work of ensuring social security. In particular, deputies emphasized the situation of security and order, drug crime increased. Sharing the same viewpoint with deputy Phuoc Cuong, deputy Ta Van Tram also said that although the functional departments have implemented many measures, now drug crime is increasing and increasingly rejuvenated, causing loss of public oder, affecting the general development of society.

Explaining the issue, Colonel Nguyen Viet Hung, deputy director of the Provincial Police said that: In oder to guarantee the security and oder, it is necessary to maximize the role of advising the party committee and authorities in some local police, especially the basis for receiving, directing the work of fighting and crime prevention. To organize the construction and multiplication of models of crime prevention and combat; to renew the content of propaganda methods with focus on key subjects which are suitable to each specific subject. In particular, the solution social protection is the basic long-term solution, encouraging people boldly in charge of crime; Commune Police must improve the discipline in the work; to actively open many peak preventive measures, to resolve the contradiction at the grassroots level, etc... to ensure public oder in the area.

In terms of the lower secondary education quality, the high dropout rate, the deputies questioned the education sector, in 2016-2017, the enrollment rate of some schools did not attain the goal although the enrollment mark was lower than the previous school year (less than 1.5 points per subject).

On this issue, Director of the Tien Giang Department of Education and Training Nguyen Hong Oanh raised the solution of the sector in the coming time: Try to mobilize parents to let children at least to finish junior secondary school; to try to change teaching methods; to improve teaching capacity to strengthen the quality of education; to create a council to support teachers in remote areas.

Regarding the reason for the increasing divorce rate, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Danh moderated the discussion at the meeting room, said that this is a very worrying issue. At present, there are many children are not well-educated, bereaved because their parents divorced too early.

Commenting on this issue, delegate Huynh Xuan Long said that: A cause of this situation is many young people married soon while they have not time to find out; the economic conditions do not guarantee life, to have many baby caused difficulty about economic leads to conflict; marriage with foreign elements; the male chauvinism is still much in the countryside; adultery, etc…

It is important to find out the main causes and further study the subjects in the divorce cases to provide effective solutions to curb the situation. In the field of culture, sports and tourism, we are aware of the responsibility for matters relating to the family sector. In the coming time, we will continue to step up the propaganda work, build up the force of collaborators to do the family work in order to catch up and deal with small disputes in the family and establishments, commend the typical happy families.
