The Provincial People's Council deputies meet voters in My Tho city

On the afternoon of January 5, the delegation of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council including Head of the Budget Economics Department Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Deputy Head of Budget Nguyen Duc Toan with the My Tho city People's Council met voters in Dao Thanh commune of My Tho city.

At the meeting, the voters heard reports on the results of the fifth session of the 9th People's Council from December 5-8, 2017. Accordingly, this meeting gave opinions about the Provincial People's Committees' reports on the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2017 and the plan for socio-economic development in 2018; questioning and answering questions to members of the People's Committee and the related branches in all activities of social life reflected by the voters.

The session also adopted 30 resolutions related to socio-economic development in 2018; public investment plan; state budget estimates of localities, local budget revenues and expenditures; local budget allocation in 2018, etc...

Speaking at the meeting, voters appreciated the sense of responsibility and the activities of the People's Council deputies in many areas gradually developed. The work of receiving people at state agencies has been strengthened and timely solved the needs of people when coming to the public authorities. However, voters also suggested the province need to supervise environmental pollution in the locality as businesses in the area discharge waste into the environment; to be interested in medical examination and treatment at the provincial general hospital. In addition, at voter meetings, it is neccessary to reserve more time for voters to get more ideas.

Recording voters' opinions, delegates asked the local administration to coordinate with the concerned branches in taking measures to settle all the issues mentioned above. Particularly for the work under the responsibility of the Provincial People's Council, delegates will synthesize reports to the Standing People's Council to early review.
