NA Chairwoman presents Tet gifts in Tien Giang

On the morning of February 4, Politburo Member, Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and presented Tet gifts in Tien Giang province ahead of the Lunar New Year. President of the Vietnam Red Cross and the leader of the Vietnam Children Support Fund accompanied the delegation.

The NA Chairwoman visited and presented Tet gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother 92-year-old Pham Thi Gai in Phuoc Thuan hamlet, Phuoc Thanh commune, My Tho city, soldier infected with toxic chemical Le Thi Hieu in Giap Nuoc hamlet and sick soldier Pham Van My in Phuoc Thuan hamlet.

After presenting Tet gift to three policy families, the NA Chairwoman attended the "Tet for the poor, disadvantaged children and victims of Agent Orange" program in Tien Giang province organized by the Vietnam Red Cross, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Children Support Fund in the provincial conference center.

In particular, the Viet Nam Red Cross presented gifts to 100 poor households, victims of toxic chemicals; The Viet Nam Children's Fund donated 200 gifts to children in particularly difficult circumstances. In addition, these children also received Tet gifts campaigned by the NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan campaign and the gift of the Dasnet Charity Fund.
 
Speaking at the program, the NA Chairwoman praised the outstanding results that Party, authorities and people of Tien Giang province achieved in the past year, simultaneously she said that these are favorable premise to let the whole political system together win new victory in the fields in 2018 as well as the next year under the proposed resolution.

She also called on the local authorities at all levels and the people of Tien Giang province to continue to take care of policy beneficiaries, impoverished households, and people who have made contributions to the nation.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the NA Chairwoman wished the Party, authorities and people of Tien Giang province new victory.
