NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the request at a conference held in Hanoi to review the 15 years of the implementation of their coordination regulations, on March 14.
The event was co-chaired by the NA Chairwoman and VFF President Tran Thanh Man.
Speaking at the conference, NA Chairwoman Ngan emphasised that, over the past 15 years, the two agencies have coordinated effectively, thereby contributing to promoting the activities of the entire political system.
She asked the two bodies to focus on several important issues in 2018, including building laws related to human rights, fundamental rights and the obligations of citizens, as well as the organisation of State apparatus and the regulations on the NA deputies’ meeting with voters.
The VFFCC’s President Tran Thanh Man also noted that the two agencies should continue to collaborate in order to improve the mechanisms and policies on patriotic emulation movements, build laws and ordinances, and join several monitoring activities under the programme of the NA and NASC.
