Holding solemnly 10 years anniversary of Tan Phu Dong district's establishment

ABO - On April 27, in Tan Phu Dong district, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Tan Phu Dong district solemnly held the 10 years anniversary of Tan Phu Dong district’s establishment (April 30, 2008 - 2018).
 
Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy General Director of the Political Bureau of the Vietnam People's Army; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh;  Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vo Van Binh; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong, etc… attended this event.

On behalf of Tan Phu Dong district’s leaders, Chairman of Tan Phu Dong district People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Khanh summarized the achievements of the locality through 10 years of establishment and development. With the determination of the entire political system, overcoming difficulties and challenges, over 10 years, the appearance of Tan Phu Dong district has been renovated.

The district's production value increased by 8.9%/year, of which agricultural, forestry and fishery increased by 4.6%; the industry and construction sector increased by 11.35%; services sector increased by 11.2%.

The per capita income increased over the years, tripling in comparison with the time district was established. The economic structure of the district (in terms of production value) has been shifted to the direction of comprehensive agricultural development.

At the same time, Khanh also introduced a number of local development orientations in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Nghia suggested Tan Phu Dong district to pay attention to the implementation of some contents:

Firstly, to focus on the implementation of the master plan for socio-economic development of the district in conjunction with the Resolution 10-NQ /TU on economic development - urban areas in three regions, the Resolution 11-NQ / TU on tourism development.

Secondly, to continue to take advantage of the central government's investment capital from the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction in 2016-2020 and the poor district support mechanism to implement policies and poverty reduction models; to continue to invest in the socio-economic infrastructure of the district, especially transport and irrigation infrastructure to promote economic development.

Thirdly, to continuously improve the material and spiritual life of the people by organizing the implementation of the work of poverty alleviation, education and health care and the policy of gratitude; to pay attention to the development of human resources through job-training activities, job creation, noting the sending of laborers to work oversea.

Fourthly, the Tan Phu Dong district Party and authority have to always identify the spirit of innovation with high political determination; to be interested in training, improving the level of cadres, civil servants, etc ... consider as the driving force for development. Besides, the effective implementation of administrative reform, information technology application must be effectively implemented.
