National Assembly Standing Committee opens 23rd session
ABO/NDO - The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 22nd session in Hanoi on April 10, helmed by NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

During their working session, the NASC will give their opinions on the contents of several draft laws, including the Law on Coast Guards, the law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Amnesty, the Urban Development and Management Law, the Husbandry Law, the Cultivation Law and the Population Law, the adjustments to the draft revised Law on Anti-corruption, and the contents of the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units.
During the eight-day session, lawmakers will discuss the preparations for the fifth meeting of the NA, the supervision programmes of the NA and its Standing Committee, and the law and ordinance building programme for 2019.
They will also work on the Government’s report on the thrift practise and wastefulness in 2017, and deliberate onthe establishment of Phu My town and its wards in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Phuoc Cat town in Cat Tien district in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
After the opening speech of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the NASC discussed the Law on Coast Guards.
