ABO - On April 20, the Executive Committee of the 10th Tien Giang provincial Party Committee held a conference on the task of building the Party and the socio-economic development in 2017 and the first quarter of 2018.

In 2017 and in the first months of 2018, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee focused on leading and directing all levels, branches and localities to follow the set tasks, concretizing the programs, plans and solutions.

It has strictly followed the principles of democratic centralism, strengthening the collective leadership regime coupled with promoting initiative, creativity and personal responsibility. The province has  46,432 Party members. About the quality of Party organization, there are 399 clean and strong Party foundations; 350 Party foundations completed the task well. On the quality of Party members, there are 4,462 Party members accomplished their tasks excellently; nearly 35,280 Party members accomplished the task well.

Regarding socio-economic development in 2017 and the first quarter of 2018, the economic growth of the province achieved positive results, especially the indicators of agricultural, forestry and fishery production; Industrial production; total social investment capital, total local budget revenue; business development; new countryside; education, health, poverty reduction, social security; the political security situation was guaranteed; the basic social security order was stable.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Huong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented information on a number of fields, projects and projects which attracted public attention during the past time such as: the situation of Cai Lay BOT toll booth, the Provincial Central General Hospital project, the project of technical infrastructure - Provincial Center Square, the project of fruit park, the Me Kong My Tho hotel, etc…

At the meeting, the delegates expressed their great enthusiasm for the results of Party building as well as socio-economic development of the province in recent years. The delegates also hoped that in the coming time, it would be necessary to continue building up the Party, building up the contingent of cadres and party members with enough political will and moral qualities, especially the leader to continue directing the socio-economic development to achieve higher results.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh noted the contributions of delegates and added to specific tasks and solutions in accordance with the practical situation to focus on directing the implementation and determination to fulfill the political tasks of 2018, creating a prerequisite for the process of leadership and direction in the following years in order to successfully implement the Resolution of the 10th Provincial Party Congress.

The Provincial Party Committee continued to focus on leadership, directing to raise the sense of responsibility, the dignity of the work, the saying going together with doing; to attach importance to adjusting the working style of officials; to overcome and prevent disease achievement.
