Holding solemnly 154th anniversary of death of hero Truong Dinh

ABO - On Agust 20, the Tien Giang province held solemnly 154th anniversary of death of hero Truong Dinh  (August 20, 1864-2018).

Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the Tien Gianag provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong, etc… and many important leaders of central and province attended a ceremony.

Secretary of Party Committee of Tien Giang province Nguyen Van Danh leaded the delegation of the province to offer incense and lay wreath at Truong Dinh’s tomb and temple as well as Truong Dinh’s statue at Go Cong town; simultaneously showing a deep gratitude to the national hero’s large contribution and sacrifice.  

Truong Dinh is the national hero in early days of the resistance war against the French colonialists more than 150 years ago. He has set a shining example of patriotism and strong will to fight against invaders and defend the country which has been preserved and promoted by younger generations.

Inheriting and promoting the patriotic traditions of hero Truong Dinh, the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, authority and people have united to overcome many difficulties and challenges, creating great achievements in the fields of economy, culture – society.

The anniversary of hero Truong Dinh’s death aims to contribute to educating the patriotic traditions and national pride of the Vietnamese generations, especially the young generation.
