NA Standing Committee opens its 27th session

ABO/NDO - The 27th session of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly opened in Hanoi, on September 10, under the chair of NA Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The senior legislator said that the committee's 27th session will give their opinions on eight draft laws, including five draft laws that are to be presented to the sixth session of the 14th NA for the first time.

The meeting will also give comments on reports by the Government, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam on the settlement of complaints and denunciations in 2018, as well as other reports on the prevention and combat of crimes, law violations, and corruption in 2018, and the implementation of the NA Resolution on inquiry sessions, among others.

In particular, the NA Standing Committee will give opinions on the plan to hold votes of confidence for the posts elected and approved by the NA at the 6th session of the 14th NA.

The NA Chairwoman noted that the Government and agencies concerned should seriously prepare the documents and reports to submit them to the NA Standing Committee, while asking the members of the NA Standing Committee to show their highest sense of responsibility in order to fulfil all of the content of the working session.
