New rural communes have to true, not to follow the achievement

According to Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh, in order to successfully carry out the objectives of the Resolution of the Party Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, the Party committees, authorities, organizations should continue to thoroughly grasp the opinions, guidelines and policies set out in the Resolution.

The province should integrate the contents and tasks into the annual socio-economic development plan of the locality; at the same time, to intensify the attraction of investment from various economic sectors; to mobilize all social resources for development investment in line with the development orientations of each locality and each region.

In particular, the province should promote the construction of new rural areas, striving to 2020 at least one district to meet new rural areas standards.

Specially, the task of verifying the communes meeting new rural areas standards had to be true, not to follow the achievement. The most important was the quality of life of people in the communes launched new rural areas to be raised, etc…

After 10 years of implementation of the Resolution 26-NQ /TW, in the period 2008-2017, the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery had an average growth rate of nearly 6% per year; the internal structure of the agricultural sector shifted towards improving quality.

In addition, the social security policies helping the poor were implemented synchronously, timely. Accordingly, the rate of poor households in the province has decreased rapidly, by the end of 2017 4.02% of poor households.

As for the new rural areas construction program, the whole province had 40 communes met new rural areas standards, striving to have 100 communes to meet new rural areas standards by 2020, etc…

At the conference, the local authorities, departments and sectors have pointed out the strong and weak points in the process of implementing the Central and provincial resolutions to together evaluate and find solutions to overcome difficulties to successfully implement the Resolution, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
