Legislators discuss scheduled agenda for 14th legislature's sixth meeting
ABO/NDO – National Assembly (NA) deputies discussed and essentially agreed with the scheduled agenda for the upcoming sixth meeting of the 14th legislature, during the afternoon session of the NA Standing Committee’s 28th meeting on October 16.

Accordingly, the sixth session of the 14th National Assembly will open on October 22 and run until November 20.
The scheduled agenda includes the election of State President, ratification of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and related documents, a resolution on extending the pilot issuance of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam, and vote of confidence on Government members.
The election of State President will be held at the beginning of the sixth session in order to facilitate the submission of proposals and documents afterwards.
In addition to reviewing the three-year implementation of the NA’s resolutions on the 2016-2020 socio-economic development plan, economic restructuring, national finance and mid-term public investment, legislators are also due to approve nine draft laws and two draft resolutions during the 24-day working session.
Earlier in the morning session, the NA Standing Committee gave opinions on the reports on State budget, the national financial programme, and the implementation of the mid-term public investment plan in the 2016-2020 period.
They also voted to approve the establishment of Tan Khai town, Tien Thanh ward and Dong Xoai city under the southern province of Binh Phuoc.
