Tien Giang provincial People's Committee honors excellent entrepreneurs

ABO - On October 11, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) celebrated the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day and honored outstanding entrepreneurs in 2018.

This event saw attendance of Deputy Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia, representatives of departments and about 500 businessmen of the province.

According to the Tien Giang province Department of Planning and Investment, in the first nine months of 2018, the total output in the province reached over VND 43 trillion, up 7.4 percent. The economic structure shifted positively, gradually increasing the share of the non-agricultural sector and reducing the share of the agricultural sector; the total investment capital for social development reached over VND 20 trillion; the number of newly established enterprises continued to grow well over the same period last year with 545 newly established enterprises.

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia highly appreciated the role of businessmen and enterprises in the Tien Giang province in the past time. He affirmed that in the future, the Tien province will continue to improve the investment environment, create conditions for enterprises to develop as well as remove difficulties in production and business to assist businesses in accessing resources and finding markets.

Deputy Chairman of the PPC suggested entrepreneurs need to have strategies for production, business, market development and long-term investment. The Tien Giang province Business Association should continue to promote its role as a bridge between members and state management agencies in support and development of enterprises.

On the occasion of the meeting, the PPC commended 74 outstanding entrepreneurs in 2018 with excellent achievements in construction and development of enterprises, contributing to socio-economic development of the province.
