To ensure the reception of citizens according to the Law on citizen reception

ABO - The Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) held the conference on December 17 to summarize the work of people reception, settlement of complaints and denunciations in 2018.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong and Chief Inspector of the province co-chaired the conference.

Deputy Commissioner for receiving the central citizens in charge of the southern region Nguyen Van Hoa attended the conference.

In 2018, the state administrative organs in the province received 4,273 turns of citizens with 5,447 people. The total number of letters of complaint, denunciation, petition and reflection received was 3,908 applications.

Chairman of the PPC was always interested in directing the reception of citizens on a regular and irregular basis according to the Law on citizen reception and directly took 39 turns with 193 people, 4 mass delegations, 3 solution dialogues, thereby concluding the settlement of 62 cases and issuing 26 official replies to citizens.

At the conference, delegates focused on important issues, highlighting solutions, experiences and directions for receiving citizens in the coming time.

Evaluating the reception of citizens in Tien Giang province, Deputy Commissioner for receiving the central citizens in charge of the southern region Nguyen Van Hoa highly appreciated the achievements of the province, especially the role of the head, chairman of the PPC that has carried out very seriously the reception of citizens.

Addressing the conference, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong asked the localities to pay attention to improving the quality as well as seriously and effectively the reception of citizens according to the Law. It was important to develop a plan for citizen reception in a concrete, close and feasible way. At the same time, the relevant departments should continue to accelerate the inspection work in districts, towns, and communes, ensuring that the reception of citizens being carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on citizen reception.
