Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Danh emphasized that: At the moment, our province has gone through more than half way of implementing the Resolution of the 10th Provincial Party Congress and also nearly half of the term of the 9th Provincial People's Council.

In the context of many difficulties and challenges, however, with the attention, guidance and assistance of the Central Executive Committee of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and central branches and the initiative and determination to overcome difficulties and the efforts of all levels, sectors, enterprises and people in the province, the socio-economic situation in 2018 achieved many positive results.

By the end of November, 2018, there were five indicators that have reached and exceeded the plan, including economic growth targets, budget revenue targets, norms of per capita income, new rural construction and number of newly established enterprises in the province.

Specifically: the economic growth rate of the whole year reached 7.5%, reaching the target set; total budget revenue reached VND 8,726 billion, gaining 109.4% of the yearly estimate, up 18.5% over the same period; The economic structure continued to move in the right direction, increasing the proportion of non-agricultural sector, reducing the proportion of agriculture.

The export turnover continued to grow at a rate of nearly USD 2.65 billion, reaching 100% of the plan in 2018, up 7.5% over the same period; the per capita income reached VND 47.6 million; launching 20 communes meet new rural standards, etc ...

However, besides the achieved results, there were still many difficulties and challenges.
