The Provincial People's Committee submits many resolutions to follow close on reality

ABO - On the second working day (5-12) of the seventh meeting session, the Tien Giang People's Council submitted 29 statements with the draft resolution on many important issues to consider and approve at this session. The promulgation of these resolutions not only contributes to social security but also creates the confidence of the province’s voters.

* To solve 4 criteria in new rural construction

At this seventh meeting session, the Provincial People's Committee issued the statement No. 297 on the proposal for a resolution to amend the Resolution 05.

Specifically as follows: "Expenditure to support communes to achieve new rural standards in the period 2018 - 2020 to build infrastructure, in the form of expenditures as investment decentralization for district and commune budgets to invest in infrastructure works related to the above 4 criteria. The minimum level of support is VND 13 billion per a commune.” The amendment will contribute to accelerate the progress and fulfill the criteria according to the plan for implementation of national target program to build new rural in the period 2019 - 2020 in the province.

* To invest in Thanh Tri residential area in My Tho city

The Provincial People's Committee presented the statement No. 292 on the proposal of the Provincial People's Council to approve the investment policy of the Thanh Tri residential area project.

Director of the Department of Construction Huynh Huu Quyen presented the report of the Provincial People's Committee to suggest the Provincial People's Council to approve the investment policy of the Thanh Tri residential area project.

Accordingly, the land area expected to implement Thanh Tri residential area in Dao Thanh commune, My Tho city belongs to the master plan of 1/500 building in the Provincial Central square, approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 428/QD/UBND dated March 8, 2017.

The Thanh Tri residential area project has an area of over 12.8 hectares. After the investment policy of the Thanh Tri residential area is approved, the Provincial People's Committee will directs the Department of Construction to select investors in accordance with the Law on Procurement for the selection of investors. The method of selecting investors is open domestic and international bidding with the expected time from 2018 to 2020.

* To support for voluntary detoxification

The Provincial People's Committee issued the statement No. 312 on requesting the issuance of the Resolution stipulating the subjects, content of support as well as level of support for voluntary drug addicts at drug rehabilitation centers. Specifically, 100% of the cost of screening for addiction assessment, medical screening services as prescribed by the doctor; treatment of opportunistic infections and common medications; 100% food allowance, etc...; 100% accommodation for drug addicts participating in voluntary drug detoxification at voluntary drug detoxification facilities.

Funds for support from the local state budget shall be allocated according to the decentralization of the State Budget Law.

Applicants are drug addicts who are full 18 years of age or older and have permanent residence in Tien Giang province to voluntarily enter detoxification facilities at drug detoxification facilities.

* In 2019, the Office of the National Assembly, the Office of the People's Council and the Office of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province will be merged into the Office of Tien Giang province.

In terms of personnel plans, the Office has a chief executive office and eight deputy chiefs of the office appointed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, on January 1, 2019, the Office of Tien Giang province officially will come into operation.
