Procuracy sector asked to enhance supervision of judiciary activities

ABO/NDO – The procuracy sector should take the initiative in proposing measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of controlling judicial activities, ensuring the timely and strict detection and handling of crimes.

The NA leader appreciated the efforts and achievements that the procuracy sector gained in the last year, saying that it achieved and surpassed the basic targets assigned by the NA to contribute to creating a safe and stable environment for the country’s socio-economic development as well as protecting the people’s peace.

NA Chairwoman Ngan also noted that, in the coming years, the situation of crime and law violations will tend to increase and become more complicated, therefore, the Party, State and people will put forth more demands on the performance of the procuracy sector.

 

She asked the sector to continue to proactively coordinate with the agencies concerned to accelerate the investigation, prosecution and adjudication process, particularly serious corruption and economic cases.

The procuracy sector should actively negotiate other agencies to sign treaties on mutual legal assistance on criminal matters, creating a favourable legal corridor to enhance the effectiveness of the fight against crimes, added the NA Chairwoman.

 

It is crucial to set measures to build a strong and clean body, while arranging a streamlined and effective organisational structure and apparatus, she said.
