Hanoi beefs up security ahead of DPRK-US Summit
ABO/NDO - Hanoi police are stepping up their efforts to ensure security and order for the second DPRK-US Summit, slated for February 27 and 28 in the Vietnamese capital.

At a ceremony on February 25, the city’s police officers were assigned with specific tasks and vowed to fulfil their duty effectively.
Director of Hanoi Police Doan Duy Khuong stated that the DPRK-US Summit is an international political and diplomatic event of paramount importance taking place in Hanoi in 2019.
He urged the entire police force of Hanoi to promote their sense of responsibility and professionalism to create an image of friendly police officers in the eyes of international friends and the people.
The lieutenant general also asked his subordinates to show their dedication and creativity and to work closely with other forces in ensuring absolute security for the summit.
For their part, the police officers of Hanoi pledged to uphold their responsibility, overcome all difficulties, and provide top security for the summit and related events taking place in the capital city.
