Trust and pride fully bestowed on the Party

ABO/NDO – In the bustling atmosphere to welcome the new spring, today February 3, 2019, the whole Party, people and the army proudly celebrate the 89th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the Party founded, led and trained by great President Ho Chi Minh, the vanguard of the working class and the Vietnamese people, which has led the nation’s revolution to various victories to build a more prosperous and beautiful Vietnam.

89 years ago, on February 3, 1930, under the presidency of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, three communist organisations in Vietnam conducted a conference to unify into the Communist Party of Vietnam. This is the inevitability of history and the results of the worker movement and Vietnamese patriotic development combined with Marxism-Leninism, and also a result of the full preparation on politics, thought and organisation of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. The Communist Party of Vietnam was born as a great turning point in the history of Vietnam’s revolution, marking a brilliant milestone on the development path of the nation.

Since having the Party's leadership, Vietnam’s revolution has steadily overcome multiple difficulties and challenges, making the glorious victory of the August Revolution in 1945, opening a new era - the era of national independence associated with socialism, and bringing Vietnamese people from the status of slavery to being the master of the country, while successfully winning the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists to unite the whole country and put it on the path to socialism.

 

In poverty and backwardness, amidst hardships due to the heavy consequences of the wars and the embargo encirclement of hostile forces, the Party always steadfastly maintained Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought to initiate and lead the entire people to successfully carry out the Doi Moi (renovation) process, achieving great and historical achievements. Never before has the country been in as a good situation as today, with the lives of people in all parts of the country, whether in remote areas or in the most difficult areas, constantly improving, as urban areas are increasingly civilised, rural areas are increasingly innovating and Vietnam's prestige and position in the international arena is increasingly affirmed.

 

The reality of national development over the past 89 years has proved and affirmed the Party's correct and wise leadership is the leading factor determining all the victories of the Vietnamese revolution. It is in this rich and vivid practice that the Party is always trained, challenged and constantly growing to become more and more worthy of its historical roles and missions, leading the revolution to success, worthy of the people's trust.

 

The 89th Party’s founding anniversary is an occasion to proudly review the glorious tradition of the Party and remember the great contribution of President Ho Chi Minh, while promoting the valuable lessons learnt to continue building a clean and strong Party. Today, in the process of increasingly deep innovation and international integration, besides new advantages and opportunities, the country is facing multiple difficulties and challenges.

 

In leading the country, the Party is constantly growing, but there are also multiple issues that need to be fixed. In order to build a capable Party to fulfil all missions, more than ever, each party organisation must join the whole Party to effectively implement the Resolutions reached at the 12th Party Central Committee’s fourth session, in association with promoting the learning and following of the ideologies and morals of Ho Chi Minh, as well as resolutely fighting, preventing and gradually pushing back the recession of political ideology, morality and lifestyle and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", in addition to resolutely repelling corruption and negativeness, strengthening leadership, solidarity and unity in the Party, maintaining the Party's principles and discipline, promoting the law of the State, and proactively preventing and fighting the plots of hostile forces. That is the Party's request, as well as the desire and aspirations of the people.

 

Commemorating the Party's founding, each cadre and Party member, regardless of their positions, should turn the determination, affection and trust to the Party into concrete actions, praising responsibility to set moral example for others to follow and consider this a voluntary and regular job in daily life, while staying coupled to doing, giving absolute loyalty to the ideals and objectives of the Party and wholeheartedly serving the people.

 

Party committees and organisations should firmly grasp the Party's guidelines and be close to the reality of life, thus continuing to innovate the leadership methods towards serving the people; while actively implementing the Party, National Assembly and Government’s resolutions, especially key socio-economic development programmes. The renovation and arrangement of organisational structure should be towards a streamlined and effective manner, while tackling weaknesses in personnel work to build a Party staff at all levels with strong political bravery, pure morality, competence and responsibility to truly be civil servants serving the people. Furthermore, the fight against corruption and negative acts should be promoted to clean up the political system and strengthen the people's trust in the Party, the regime and the State.

 

This year, the 89th Party’s founding anniversary coincides with the nation’s celebration of the Lunar New Year 2019. A new spring has spread all over the country, with joyful, trusting and warm rhythm, mingle the Party's ideas with the people's will towards the new development path. 2019 is the year of multiple important political events, with the fourth year of implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the 50th anniversary of the sacred testament of beloved Uncle Ho, the whole Party, the entire people and the army vow to work together to bring in a new atmosphere of a new spring and a new Party's spirit and determination to successfully implement the objectives and tasks set by the Party.
