Tien Giang, Long An sign cooperation agreement on socio-economic development
ABO – Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Can and Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong signed cooperation agreement on socio-economic development between the two localities for the period of 2019-2020 and orientation to 2025, on March 20.

In the spirit of equality and mutual benefit, two provinces agreed on long-term and comprehensive cooperation in eight areas including: agriculture; commercial industry; transportation; urban development; environmental resources; travel; science and technology and security and order.
Long An province and Tien Giang province are two localities located in the key economic region in the South, the Mekong River Delta and adjacent to the geographical location, with many similarities in soil conditions. Therefore, the socio-economic cooperation between the two localities is very necessary in the immediate and long term, to further promote the potentials and advantages of each province, contributing to promoting economic development social security, ensuring regional security and defense; creating favorable conditions for industries, localities and enterprises of each province to cooperate effectively and promote their competitive advantages.
Through the signed cooperation agreement, it will also solve the problem raised earlier on the unification of the rice crop calendar between the two localities, as well as coordinating the operation of the irrigation system to serve the need of agricultural production.
