Tien Giang province urged to focus on Party building

ABO - On March 13, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong had a working session with the Standing Board of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, which forms part of his working trip to the south province.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh reported the results of implementing the political tasks of the province in three years 2016-2018.

According to the report, in economic terms, the Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading the economic restructuring in accordance with the advantages of the province and the central planning. The economic growth rate of the province in three years 2016 - 2018 reached 7%, belonging to the first group of regional provinces.

Tien Giang will focus on implementing 7 key tasks until the end of the term, including implementing projects in agriculture towards the application of high technology in the context of climate change; continuing to implement the project of restructuring the provincial industry; continuing to support the development of small and medium enterprises; developing human resources, especially human resources of high quality management; promptly settle complaints and denunciations; firmly grasping the situation of security situation; continuing to improve the capacity and fighting capacity of party committees, party organizations and cadres, party members, etc…

At the working session, the Provincial Party Committee of Tien Giang province raised the proposals of the province such as: To maintain Tan Phu Dong district when implementing Resolution 37-NQ /TW on arranging district and commune administrative units proposing to the Central Government to allow Tien Giang province to implement the project of the Coastal Economic Zone and to supplement it to the Planning of the Coastal Economic Zone of the whole country, etc…

Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong commented, in the past 3 years, Tien Giang province has achieved a rather rapid development compared to previous years and compared with the region. Tien Giang has seriously implemented the Central Resolution on Party building. People work well, thereby building people's trust in the Party and the government.

Regarding the performance of the remaining years of the term, he noted that the province should pay attention to the comments of members of the delegation on the construction of the Party, the construction of the government, the personnel work, etc... For socio-economic development, the province needs to be interested in adaptation planning to climate change conditions; focus on removing obstacles to create an open investment environment; take good care of people's life, pay attention to the life of policy families, people with meritorious services and assist disadvantaged people in society.

On the occasion, Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong worked with the Party committees of My Tho city’s Dao Thanh commune, while visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families in the locality.
