Tien Giang ranked the first of the emulation cluster of 12 southwestern provinces

ABO - On March 15, the emulation cluster of the southwestern provinces held a summation conference  of emulation covenants in 2018 and carried out the tasks in 2019.

According to the general assessment, the southwestern provinces have well implemented three major movements launched by the Prime Minister such as: "The whole country works to build a new rural commun"; "Vietnamese enterprises integrate and develop" and the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor – Not let one be left behind".

The economic scale of the provinces in the cluster has gradually increased, in 2018, over 725,000 billion VND, accounting for more than 13% of the whole country, economic growth with 7/12 provinces increased higher than the national average; the economic structure has shifted towards positive; total social investment accounted for over 14% of the country, export turnover accounted for 6.4%, budget revenue accounted for 7.7%; the rate of poor households with 10/12 provinces is lower than the national average, etc...

In order to achieve these impressive results, the provinces in the emulation group of the southwestern provinces have launched many emulation movements, successfully carried out the socio-economic tasks under the Resolution of the Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee. There were many economic models, many typical examples, shining throughout the provinces and regions of the Mekong Delta.

At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Emulation Group of the Southwest provinces in 2018 was honored to be awarded the first-class Labor Medal; The emulation group of the Southwest provinces announced the emulation score of 2018, accordingly, Tien Giang province ranked first of the emulation movement 2018, Long An province ranked the second; at the same time, introducing and presenting the circulating flag and flowers to the head of the group in 2019 as Ca Mau province.
