The Law on Architecture consists of 5 chapters and 41 articles regulating the architectural management, architectural practice and state management responsibility for architecture. At the conference, Deputy Head of the Tien Giang provincial NA delegation Tran Thanh Hai mentioned some points of the draft Law on Architecture needed to be contributed.
Delegates said that this is considered a legal foundation for architects based on it to practice and develop architecture. But many delegates said that this draft law needs to clarify some issues and be more specific. However, the delegates also raised many comments to contribute to the draft Law on Architecture focusing on a number of contents such as: the Law project should explain clearly the conditions of capacity of organizations practicing architecture; the change to the agency competent to grant local architecture practice certificates; the term of architecture practice certificate (Article 27) stipulated at the provincial level is not reasonable; regulating the responsibilities of organizations and individuals using architectural products and proposing to supplement and amend some sentences and words in the Law project; to reconsider the rate of designing fees in Vietnam is low.
Nguyen Thanh Hai received and appreciated the opinions of the delegates, at the same time, considering and summarizing them to submit to the upcoming National Assembly meeting.
