Holding solemnly 144th anniversary of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan's death

ABO - On May 18, Cho Gao district held solemnly 144th anniversary of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan's death (April 14, 1875 – April 14, 2019, on lunar year) at his temple in Hoa Tinh commune.

Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong, leaders of departments and representatives of Chau Thanh district, Long An province, etc… attended this event.

At the anniversary, attendances were heard the life and career of the national hero in early days of the resistance war against the French colonialists more than 144 years ago.

He had set a shining example of patriotism and strong will to fight against invaders and defend the country which has been preserved and promoted by younger generations.

Previously, leaders of the province and district offered incense at the tomb of the national hero Au Duong Lan in Phu Kiet commune, Cho Gao district. He is one of the talented generals combined with Nguyen Huu Huan against French colonialism.
