ABO - Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong inspected the progress of new rural construction in Go Cong Tay district and Go Cong Dong district, on June 14.

In Tang Hoa commune and Tan Tay commune, Go Cong Dong district, implementing the national target program to build a new rural, Tang Hoa commune has so far achieved 17/19 new rural criteria. The remaining two criteria are electricity and schools being focused on implementation and expected to be completed by the end of July 2019.

Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong proposed the Steering Committee for building new rural district of Go Cong Dong district and Tang Hoa commune continue to try their best to urge the construction unit to carry out the remaining works as planned, soon completing the remaining 2 criteria in order to be able to reached a new rural commune in August 2019.

After that, Chairman of the PPC visited the actual construction of Vo Thi Lo Primary School with the new construction of the main block of 8 classrooms 1 ground floor, 1 floor and renovated block of 10 existing classrooms as well as sub-categories. The work is currently estimated at 67% of the workload.

In Tan Tay commune, Chairman of the PPC proposed that the Steering Committee of district and commune should continue trying to implement the remaining criteria, especially, having a solution to tighten in speeding up the construction and completion of economic and technical infrastructure projects in the commune. Tan Tay commune so far has achieved 15/19 new rural criteria. The remaining 4 criteria that the commune has not yet achieved include transportation; electricity; schools and cultural facilities.

* On the afternoon of the same day, Chairman of the PPC also inspected the progress of building new rural construction in 2 communes of Yen Luong and Long Vinh in Go Cong Tay district.

Chairman of the PPC praised the effort and the results achieved in the implementation of new rural criteria in the past in Long Vinh commune, at the same time he asked the commune to concentrate on completing the dossier of conducting the appraisal.

He also suggested that the Steering Committee for building new rural construction of Yen Luong and Long Vinh communes should focus on speeding up the construction of the remaining basic works, striving to shorten the time to complete the works, in order to soon complete the new rural criteria according to the registered local plans on August 2019.
