Ministry of Planning and Investment works with Tien Giang province

ABO - The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Trung has just worked with the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee on the implementation and disbursement situation public investment plan in 2019. At the working session, Tien Giang province Department of Planning and Investment reported the implementation and disbursement of public investment plans in 2019. Accordingly, Tien Giang province implemented the first plan privately owned in 2019 with a total investment of more than 3,826 billion VND. In which, the capital in the local budget balance was more than 2,660 billion VND; the central budget capital supported more than 1,166 billion VND.

By the end of May 2016, Tien Giang province disbursed more than 1,210 billion VND, reaching 31% of the plan. It is expected that by the end of June, 2019, Tien Giang will disburse nearly 2,000 billion dong, reaching over 50% of the plan. With this progress, Tien Giang is expected to reach 100% of the plan by the end of 2019.

The departments and branches of Tien Giang province mentioned difficulties and obstacles and at the same time offered solutions and recommendations to promote disbursement of capital for public investment projects, focusing mainly on inter-related issues regarding investment procedures, construction bidding, site clearance, progress of some projects is still slow due to the effects of climate change, etc…

Concluding the working session, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Trung acknowledged the difficulties and recommendations of Tien Giang province in building public investment projects in 2019. Thereby, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will continue to consider and support the province with investment procedures, quick disbursement of capital, ensuring the schedule and compliance with regulations.

After the working session, the delegation had a field visit to a number of public investment projects in the province, including: Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project (Than Cuu Nghia interchange, Chau Thanh district), the project embankment of Ward 2, My Tho city).
