Presidential order on seven laws promulgated

They are the Law on a number of revisions and supplements to the Law on Insurance Business and the Law on Intellectual Property; the Law on Tax Management; the Law on Public Investment 2019; the Law on Architecture; the Law on Education 2019; the Law on Preventing Harmful Effects of Alcoholic Drinks; the Law on Execution of Criminal Judgements 2019.
The revisions to the Law on Insurance Business and Intellectual Property will come into force on January 1, 2020 while the Law on Tax Management will be effective from July 1, 2020.
The revised Law on Public Investment, set to take effect from January 1, 2020, is expected to remove the obstacles and accelerate the disbursement of public funds as well as enhancing transparency in public investment management.
The Law on Architecture, consisting of 41 articles in five chapters, is scheduled to come into force on July 1, 2020, and governs urban and rural architectural standards as well as stipulating management of valuable architectural works.
The Law on Education 2019 replaces the previous education laws and will come into effect on July 1, 2020.
The Law on Preventing Harmful Effects of Alcoholic Drinks stipulates 13 acts prohibited, notably driving when there is alcoholic content in the driver’s breath or bloodstream. It is effective starting on January 1, 2020.
The Law on Execution of Criminal Judgement, containing 207 articles in 16 chapters, will also come into force on January 1, 2020.
