Go Cong Dong district to launch a new rural district by 2020

ABO - On August 16, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and Vice Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia and Pham Anh Tuan worked with Go Cong Dong district on the progress of building Go Cong Dong district to reach the new rural standards by 2020.

According to the report, Go Cong Dong district now has 7 communes meeting new rural standards: Binh Nghi, Tan Dien, Tan Dong, Tan Thanh, Binh An, Tan Phuoc and Tang Hoa communes. Particularly, 9 criteria of new rural districts have been implemented on schedule and achieved high results and are expected to launch a new rural district by May 2020.

In order to well implement the proposed targets, Go Cong Dong district is currently focusing on building Tan Tay commune to fulfill the criteria and plans to launch a new rural commune by September 2019. Particularly, Kieng Phuoc commune will launch a new rural commune before the Lunar New Year 2020. Phuoc Trung and Gia Thuan communes were launched in Quarter 1 of 2020.

In addition, Go Cong Dong district has been promoting propaganda in various forms, focusing on propagating the role of benefits. In particular, with the spirit of not waiting for superiors, the executive committees and authorities closely follow the roadmap, the time to have solutions to complete the targets according to the functions and tasks of each branch and each unit; determining to build Go Cong Dong district to meet the new rural standards by 2020.
