Highly appreciating comments of the province's former leaders

ABO – On August 8, the Standing Committee of the Tien Giang provincial Party Comiittee held the conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in 2018, the first 6 months of 2019 for the former members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong general reported the results of implementing the task of building the Party and leading the province's socio-economic development with 18 highlights.

In the first 6 months of 2019, it is excited that the province's socio-economic development continues to achieve positive results: The province's economic growth increases 7.07%; the budget revenue in the province is 5,439 billion VND, gaining 58.5% compared to the yearly resolution, increasing 22.7% compared to the same period in 2018; the export turnover achieves nearly 1.5 billion USD; the total social investment capital reaches nearly 14,000 billion VND, etc...

In addition, the province has focused on directing the implementation of some initial results of the Project 02 of the Provincial Standing Committee on streamlining the organizational apparatus, improving the operational efficiency of the political system according to Resolution 18 and 19 of the 12th Central Conference.

Regularly holding dialogues, meeting and exchanging directly with people and enterprises of the provincial leaders as well as leaders of departments, branches and localities were highly appreciated, supported by the business community.

At the conference, former leaders of the province highly appreciated the efforts of the Provincial Party Committee and the management of the Provincial People's Committee in the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the province for nearly 4 past years. At the same time, they gave sincere and profound comments on the construction of the Party, the organization of cadres, on the implementation of key projects that have a profound impact on the province's socio-economic development, as well as proposing solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring order and security, political stability, etc...
