Tien Giang province successfully completes the political tasks in 2019

ABO - On January 6, the Standing Committee of the Tien Giang Party Committee held the conference (expansion) to summarize and evaluate the leadership results of implementing political tasks in 2019, deploying directions and tasks in 2020.

In 2019, with the determination to lead and direct of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the administration of the Provincial People's Committee, the efforts of the entire political system as well as all levels, sectors, businesses and individuals. Therefore, the socio-economic situation of the province has achieved very encouraging results.

There are 5 targets achieved and exceeded the plan such as: The economic growth rate (GRDP) for the whole year reaches 7.26%, increasing  by 7% - 7.5% of the plan; the total budget revenue gets 11,260 billion VND, reaching 121% of the yearly estimate, up 27.6% over the same period; the export turnover continues to maintain a good growth, reaching 3.05 billion USD, up 6.5% over the same period, reaching 101.6% of the plan; the total social investment capital reaches 34,521 billion VND, up 0.8%, reaching 100% of the plan; the per capita income reaches 51 million VND (in 2018, reaching 46.8 million VND); 32 communes have recognized as new rural standards, reaching 139.13% of the plan. There are 750 newly registered enterprises, up 7.1% over the same period, reaching 100% of the year plan.

Comrade Vo Van Binh suggests many key issues to discuss at the conference.

The socio-cultural fields have many positive changes; political security situation, basic social order and safety are stable; defense and security are maintained; social security continues to be paid attention to, people's life has been gradually improved and the poverty rate has decreased to 2.51%.

The conference also identified the existing limitations and challenges for the leadership to carry out political tasks in 2020, from which discussed to identify solutions to remove and overcome difficulties to accomplish the set goals.

Comrade Le Van Huong reports the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks in 2019 and the task directions in 2020.

The conference agreed on a resolution on the implementation of political tasks in 2020, which unanimously approved 19 socio-economic development targets.

Specifically, GRDP will increase from 7% to 7.5%; GRDP per capita is 55.3 million VND; total export turnover reaches 3.4 billion USD; the total budget revenue is 11,125 billion VND; the total development investment capital of the whole society reaches 37,300 billion VND; poor households decreases to 2.25%; to build 25 communes and 2 districts to meet new rural standards; 90% of the population will participate in health insurance; to reach 7 doctors and 23.32 beds / ten thousand people; over 98% of party members complete their tasks and more than 85% of grassroots party organizations fulfill their tasks or higher, etc...

Directing the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Danh noted the key tasks that the Provincial Party Committee must focus on leading the implementation in 2020.
