Activities held to mark 76th anniversary of Vietnamese People's Army
ABO/NDO - A wide range of activities have been held nationwide and abroad to mark the 76th anniversary of Vietnamese People’s Army (1944-2020).
Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach hosted a sincere meeting with the staff of the Defence Attaché Office and representatives of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in the country on December 21.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Thach reviewed the glorious history of Vietnamese People’s Army over the past 76 years, while extending his greetings to the staff of the Defence Attaché Office and Vietnamese veterans who are living in Ukraine.

The meeting expressed his appreciation for the role of the Vietnamese Veterans Association members and for their contributions to building a stable and united community of Overseas Vietnamese in the host country.
The ambassador expressed his hope that the socio-political organisations, including those who have been trained in the military, will be the leading factor in the implementation of the policy on “converting business forms and measures in line with new situation” which was launched by the embassy.
* The Youth Union of the 246th Regiment under the 346 Division (Military Region 1) has launched an emulation movement themed “90 days of army youths’ emulation towards the 90th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union”.
The movement will run from December 26, 2020, to March 26, 2021, with various contents and forms.
* On the occasion, The High Command of Military Region 3 organised an incense offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in its headquarters in Hai Phong City on December 21.
The staff of the military region expressed their determination to study and follow the beloved President’s ideals, morality and lifestyle to overcome all difficulties and fulfil all assigned tasks.
