Ho Chi Minh City's economy sees positive changes

ABO/NDO - The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee convened its 13th conference on April 27 under the chair of Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.

The delegates discussed and gave opinions on a report regarding the city's socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2022, key tasks and solutions in the second quarter of 2022; a project on organising, rearranging, restructuring and improving the efficiency of economic activities of the municipal Party Committee during the 2022-2025 period, with orientation to 2030; and personnel work.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary Nguyen Van Nen emphasised the city's socio-economic situation in the first quarter witnessed many positive changes, and many socio-economic development indicators increased.

Party committees and administration at all levels from the city to the grassroots levels are increasingly renewing their awareness, raising the spirit of solidarity and responsibility before the people and the Party, he added.

The Secretary suggested that the delegates need to deeply evaluate, find the causes and solutions to the unsatisfactory aspects; focus on discussing, commenting and predicting challenging situations for the city in the coming time, both in the immediate and long term.

The conference also gave comments and supplements and completed 11 key groups of tasks and solutions in the second quarter of 2022, identifying truly breakthrough solutions to create new impetus for the city’s economy to recover quickly and comprehensively.
