Transport Ministry disburses over 7.2 trillion VND in first quarter

ABO/NDO – The Ministry of Transport disbursed over 7.2 trillion VND (315 million USD) in the first quarter of this year, equivalent to 17.2% of the yearly plan set by the ministry and equivalent to 14.3% of the plan set by the Government.

The information was released at the meeting on April 13 to review the ministry’s performance in the first quarter of this year.

The Transport Ministry is expected to disburse over 11.1 trillion VND of public investment in the second quarter of this year, raising the total disbursement of public investment to 18.5 trillion VND in the first six months of 2022, reaching 37% of the yearly plan.

The ministry has also urged the acceleration of progress for large projects including the North-South Expressway and My Thuan-Can Tho Expressway to speed up the disbursement of public investment.

The Ministry of Transport was assigned by the Prime Minister to invest over 50.3 trillion VND of the State budget in transport projects, including over 4.8 trillion VND of foreign capital and 45.5 trillion VND of domestic capital.
