Lao media spotlights Vietnamese President's official visit
ABO/NDO- Major newspapers of Laos on April 10 ran articles highlighting the upcoming official visit by President Vo Van Thuong to Laos, affirming that it will contribute to deepening the Laos – Vietnam special relations.
In its article, Pasaxon - the official newspaper of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) - said the Vietnamese President’s official visit to Laos from April 10 – 11 at the invitation of Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith will help strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, and affirm that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing the relations with Laos.
It spotlighted the fruitful development of the bilateral relations, saying that Laos and Vietnam always affirm their responsibility to preserve, protect, and step up their great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, which is increasingly developing in all areas based on the spirit of independence, self-mastery, and equal and win-win cooperation.

Laos and Vietnam are still making their all-out efforts to further develop the bilateral relations across fields of politics, national defence- security, economy, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchange; and closely coordinate and support each other in the regional and international arena, it stressed.
The visit is an opportunity for leaders of both sides to discuss and agree on strategies and measures to further promote all-around relations, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, it stated.
Meanwhile, PathetLao, a publication of the Laos News Agency KPL, said that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples are an exemplary relationship that never fades in international relations.
Both Pasaxon and PathetLao noted that the visit aims to strengthen and cultivate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, nations and peoples.
The relations have become a priceless common asset of the two Parties and nations, and a factor decisive to the victory of each country’s revolution, they emphasised.
