Hue's Honorary Citizenship presented to KOICA Vietnam Country Director
ABO/NDO- Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam Cho Han Deog received the titled ‘Honorary Citizenship’ of Hue city at a ceremony held in Hue on July 24.
The KOICA Country Director was also presented with a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province in recognition of his positive and effective contributions to promoting the relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
During his working period in Vietnam, as the Director of KOICA Vietnam, Cho Han Deog made many practical and effective contributions to fostering cooperation activities with Thua Thien Hue province in various fields, especially in urban development and in the implementation of ODA projects funded by KOICA.

In particular, he actively promoted and directed the preparation for the project on developing Hue as a city of culture and smart tourism in addition to quickly and flexibly solving problems in the project.
“I have always had a special affection for Hue. I am very proud to receive the certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the title of “Honorary Citizenship” of Hue city. I will continue to make more practical contributions to Thua Thien Hue in the coming time in order to strengthen the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two sides,” Cho Han Deog said.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Le Nhat thanked Cho Han Deog for his valuable contribution to the development of Hue city and congratulated him for the title “Honorary Citizenship” of Hue city. Nhat also expressed his hope that the KOICA Vietnam Director will gain more achievements in his career and hoped for a more successful and deepening relationship between Hue and KOICA.
