Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan meets with voters in An Giang

ABO/NDO- Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and a delegation from the National Assembly of the Mekong Delta Province of An Giang met with voters in Chau Thanh and Thoai Son Districts on July 5.

At the meeting, the representatives from the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province informed of the contents and important issues of the country, that werepassed at the fifth session of the 15th National Assembly.

Voters were excited with information about the country’ssocio-economic situation and An Giang Province. They also raised their concerns about many issues, such as the construction of the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang arterial highway, investment for the construction of industrial parks,and the trade and service development along this highway.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuaninformed that amid general difficulties and complicated conflicts around the world, the country's economy has prospered with a growth of over 4% in the second quarter of this year and 3.7% in six months.

Regarding traffic, this is a long-standing bottleneck of the Mekong River Delta, including An Giang, and the issue has received great attention and greater investment from the Party and State.

She noted that each province locality should prioritiseprojects to mobilise state and socialisation capital, develop transport infrastructure for investment attraction and ensurepeople’s lives.

Social and health insurance policies have been graduallyimproved to be more suitable for insurers, added the Vice President. She asked the provincial authorities to make appropriate ways to help people access insurance policiesmore favourably.

Vice President Xuan expressed her belief that thanks to joint efforts of the whole political system and people, An GiangProvince in general and Chau Thanh and Thoai Son Districts in particular, will overcome all difficulties to make specific solutions for socio-economic development and improvement of people’s lives.
