Vice President presents Labour Order to Thanh Son District

ABO/NDO- Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended a ceremony on October 20 to celebrate the 190th founding anniversary of Phu Tho Province’s Thanh Son District and present the Labour Order to its government and people.

At the event, Thanh Son District Party Committee Dang Quang Huy recalled the history of the district, which has risen from a poor mountainous region to record important socio-economic achievements.

The people’s living standards have been improved, with the average annual income per capita reaching over 37.7 million VND (1,536 USD) and the poverty rate dropping from 28% in 2011 to 8.3% in 2023.

In his address, Phu Tho Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau expressed his hope that in the coming time, the district will use state-funded resources to improve its socio-economic infrastructure.

He also asked the district to focus on sustainable agriculture to transform Thanh Son into an agricultural processing centre of Phu Tho Province.

On the occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented the first-class Labour Order to the Party organisation, government and people of Thanh Son District.
