ABO/NDO- Vinh, the capital city of Nghe An Province, celebrated the 60th anniversary of its establishment at a ceremony on September 30 in the presence of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

In his speech at the event, Vinh Party Secretary Phan Duc Dong recalled the history of the city, which originated 235 years ago, as one of the capital cities of the Tay Son Dynasty.

The city was formally established by the Vietnamese government in October 1963 as one of the largest industrial cities in northern Vietnam.
