All Vietnamese workers leave Libya safely

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh revealed at a regular press conference on August 14 that all of the Vietnamese laborers at fighting zones in strife-torn Libya have moved out of dangerous areas.

According to the Vietnamese Embassies in Libya, Egypt and Turkey, as of August 13 some 907 Vietnamese workers have returned home and 294 ones left Libya to neighboring nations including Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt.

During these days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) directed Viet Nam’s representative agencies in France, Germany, Qatar, Malaysia, Egypt and Algeria to quickly work with local functional agencies to help Vietnamese workers transit in these nations on their way home.

The MFA, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies at related countries and companies in charge of these workers to closely follow the situation and keep contact with Vietnamese laborers as well as coordinate with local functional agencies to help Vietnamese workers come back home.
