Received 363 units of donated blood

The provincail directing board of approaching the voluntary donation blood (Tien Giang Red Cross Association is basic) hold the voluntary donation blood festival on July 31.

The message of this festival is "Tien Giang drops-Transfusion blood to community-Join efforts in homeland’s sea and island", with the coordination and patron of SABECOSONGTIEN- Branch of Tien Giang Province and Tien Giang Youth Union. Mr Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang People’s Committee attended.

Mr. Vo Van Lang, chairman of Tien Giang Red Cross Association, said: Two main topics of festival were donating blood for saving people as well as mobilizing everybody to send a message of “Join efforts in homeland’s sea and island” programme and responding “Red Journey 2014" programme of the National Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation campaign.

The festival has collected 363 units of blood and 41 million VNĐ of the agencies and uinits. Besides, there was a large number of people sending a message of “Join efforts in homeland’s sea and island” programme.

Mr Duc praised the voluntary donation blood action and contributing to homeland’s sea and island of people.

In 2013, the provincial directing board of approaching the voluntary donation blood mobilized 8,000 units of blood.
