Memorial service to be held for victims of traffic accidents
A memorial service for victims of fatal traffic accidents in Vietnam in 2014 is scheduled to take place on November 16 as part of activities to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the National Committee for Traffic Safety announced at a press conference on November 13.

This is the third year this kind of event is to be held in Vietnam by the National Committee for Traffic Safety with the aim of raising public awareness of abiding by traffic regulations.
The memorial service will feature true stories along with television reports to convey a strong message to drivers to take a responsibility to prevent tragic accidents and losses to themselves, their families and society.
The event will also share the grief suffered by the families of victims of fatal traffic accidents and call on the community to join hands to develop an intelligent and safe transportation system in a bid to ease pain and losses.
At the press conference, the National Committee for Traffic Safety announced a conference entitled 'Solutions to enhance management efficiency and ensure traffic safety for motor vehicle users' slated for November 18.
The event will be held with the collaboration of the World Bank (WB) and the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers.
Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Safety Traffic Khuat Viet Hung said that the conference will publish WB's studies on traffic safety to motor vehicle users and create conditions for scientists, managers and manufacturers in the transportation sector to discuss scientific research and experience in the field.
Results of the conference will serve as the reference to the National Safety Traffic Committee to map out their plans on ensuring traffic safety in the coming years.
