Vietnam sent over 91,000 workers abroad in 10 months
As many as 91,143 Vietnamese workers went to work abroad in the first ten months of this year, including 34,232 women.
This figure exceeds 4.76% of the year’s plan and increases by 129.54% compared to the same period last year.
According to latest figures released by the Department of Overseas Labour, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), 7,774 Vietnamese workers went abroad in October alone, They are working as guest workers in Taiwan Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Macau and other countries.

The countries that employed the largest number of Vietnamese guest workers are Taiwan, Japan, RoK and Malaysia.
All Vietnamese guest workers going to RoK this year must abide by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Employment Permit System (EPS) programme signed by the Vietnamese and Korean Governments.
By the end of November when the MoU will expire, the two Governments will assess the implementation process and consider the continued sending of Vietnamese guest workers to the RoK.
